Bridal Spectacular Show August 20, 21 Reminder.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge wants to remind all of my readers and all those of you planning a wedding; whether you are just starting the process or in the process, to check out the Bridal Spectacular Show this weekend.

Location: Cashman Center, 850 North Las Vegas Boulevard.

Show Dates: August 20 and 21, 2010 ~Friday 6 pm to 10 pm Saturday 11 am to 4 pm

If you have been watching the "MORE Show" on Fox 5 News, you probably have seen a glimpse of some of the exciting things that await at the show. But there is SO MUCH MORE (pun intended) including fashion shows, giveaways, and most of all, the chance to meet many of my creative wedding partner friends in person.

Registration is $10.00 online and $15.00 at the door.

You can get more information at their website www.BridalSpectacular.com

And, courtesy of Bridal Spectacular, here are some excellent tips to help you get the most of your bridal show experience and get your planning on the right track.

10 Tips For Attending Bridal Shows
  1. Register online and save time at the door. If you do not register online, make sure you register when you enter. Registering will allow you to receive special money saving offers and receive free gifts and opportunities to win Big Prizes.
  2. Create a temporary e-mail to be used while you are planning your wedding. That way you can delete it when you no longer are interested in receiving special offers or hearing from vendors. The amount of offers you receive at first may seem overwhelming, but take the time to read them or you may miss out on some very good deals.
  3. Bring adhesive address labels, if you have them, or print some up on your computer. This will save you a lot of time when you register for prizes at individual booths. Most exhibitors will want to know your wedding date, so add that to the label.
  4. Make sure you get your Bride and Groom-to-be-stickers when you register in order to receive special attention from the wedding pros.
  5. Walk down every aisle and collect any information you are interested in and take it home to look over again at your leisure. Most large bridal shows will provide you with a large shopping bag as long as you register when you enter.
  6. Bring your credit card or debit card to the show in case you want to book any services or hold a date. Some of your best discounts will be given at the show.
  7. If you are attending the Bridal Spectacular, it is Las Vegas' largest bridal show, so come prepared to spend at least 4 or 5 hours to include time to see a fashion show and visit with all the wedding professionals.
  8. Bring your fiance' with you for at least one trip to the event, then go again with your Mother and girlfriends. Going twice allows you to really take in everything you need to see.
  9. Ask lots of questions, that's what the vendors are there for. They want to help you and you are under no pressure to buy from them, so find out everything you need to know.
  10. Parking at Cashman is $4.00 CASH, there are no ATM machines until you get inside, so bring cash for parking.
  11. Wear comfortable shoes and have a great time!

Wedding Concierge featured in "International Catering Association" Publication

Cover of the Summer, 2010 Issue of ICA "CommuniCATER"

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is delighted to share my featured article that appears in the "CommuniCATER" newsletter for the ICA (International Caterers Association).

The article is titled "Caterer & Wedding Planning Planner Partnerships:: Creating a Winning Recipe for Success".

You can read the article in PDF format here.

I am also very excited to follow this piece of great news up with the announcement that I will be speaking, along with some of my WIPA (Wedding Industry Professional Association) colleagues at the Catersource, 2011 conference in Las Vegas, on this very topic. Check out the conference website for the "sneak peek" information they have to date and make sure to book mark and see what's new as the show draws near.

I hope you enjoy the article and please feel free to leave any questions or comments for me here on the blog. If you have any suggestions for what you want to hear in the presentation, I would love to hear those too.
