Weddings on Film-All You Need is Love, Actually

One of Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge's favorite cinematic wedding scenes is from the 2003 movie "Love, Actually". starring Hugh Grant and Keira Knightly. I smile every time I watch this scene (I do love the whole movie too) & thought it would be perfect to share with you on Valentine's Day!

Ceremonies are meant to be reverent, yes, but that doesn't mean that you can't interject some of your own style in to them and have some fun to surprise and delight your guests.

You may not always be able to work in the choir, lead singer, instruments and exceptionally cool, "with it" priest, but you can choose music that is unconventional or take traditional songs and make them modern, like entering to an electronic version of the "Wedding March" a la Jimmy Hendrix

No matter what other ingredients you use to make your own wedding cinematic moments, remember that "All You Need is Love" is the most important:)

Sex and the City DVD Release Today!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so excited that the Sex and the City ladies are back and better than ever. The DVD of the movie is available today in a 2 Disc Special Edition.

I went out and got my copy today and the cool thing is this version has an extended cut of the movie and a digital version you can put on your iPod or portable music/video player. Sweet! Of course there are some special features including interviews with Sarah Jessica Parker and show creator Michael Patrick King, "behind the scenes" and more good stuff...

More Carrie, more Samantha, Charlotte & Miranda and of course...more "BIG"!

And of course, I now get to enjoy that fabulous couture wedding gown montage any time I want

So I'll be mixing something yummy, wet and sweet later this evening while I kick back to enjoy a night with "the girls" while I toast all the special "girls" in my life and my very own "BIG".

I am one very lucky lady.

Have a Stylish Day!

Feeling All "Dressed Up in Love"...in Las Vegas!

Hello ladies (and gentlemen)!

Well, I just got back from seeing "Sex & the City" at the movies and I am in LOVE!!

What a fabulous and entertaining movie and the only thing I regret is that I didn't have ALL my girlfriends, the ones I have known for decades and the ones I have only known a few years, with me to enjoy this together.

Of course, ogling at all the drop dead incredible designer wedding gowns in the movie for that VOGUE couture bridal shoot, the decor, the fasion; well..it's like being in a grown-up female and very styish Disney World for 2 hours and 30 funny, sexy and lovely minutes. You are so happy and satisfied when you leave & you can't wait for another opportunity (excuse) to see it (I mean "Mr. Big"...love him) again.

And, don't want to give anything away for anyone who has not seen it yet (can't beleive it took me this long to get there but it IS wedding season!) but let me just say that it re-inforces yet again my belief about what is (should be) at the heart of every wedding day no matter who or where you are in life or in the world.

So with that, enjoy a great song from Academy Award Winner, Jennifer Hudson from the movie that could not be more perfect for a bride or a wedding in June... "All Dressed in Love" !

And ladies...Have a VERY STYLISH DAY!

It's the Weekend-Time for a Movie!

Have some fun in the shade (yep, it's a sweltering 108F in Las Vegas this weekend), grab something yummy and frosty and check out this fun Brit import called "Confetti" at my Amazon "Concierge Book Cafe" .
Say "I do" to this hilarious "mockumentary" about a trio of wacky couples who vow to win the coveted title of "Most Original Wedding of the Year." The dueling duos include the tuneless Matt (Martin Freeman) and Sam (Jessica Stevenson) whose unfortunate wedding theme is Hollywood musicals; the hypercompetitive tennis partners Josef (Steven Mangan) and Isabelle (Meredith MacNeil), and the outrageously uninhibited nudists Michael (Robert Webb) and Joanna (Olivia Colman). At stake is a million-dollar dream home, but can love survive in the midst of unbridled prenupital chaos?"-Amazon Bookstore

I giggled all the way through and the funny thing is, there really is a "Confetti" Magazine and Website (I just had to link in pink) in England! It makes it even more hilarious and i get a kick out of their sense of irreverance.

Enjoy and Have a Stylish Weekend!
