Elizabeth & Andy Get Married

Photography by John Michael Cooper, Altf.com

It's hard to believe that after 15 months of planning, the big day is finally here for Elizabeth & Andy.

They will be celebrating their oh-so-stylish & fabulous Las Vegas wedding at the beautiful Four Seasons, Las Vegas resort; truly one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas for planning a wedding and just visiting.

Elizabeth & Andy live in Las Vegas but it's a "Destination Wedding" for many of their family and friends. So yesterday evening they brought everyone from the strip to their home by Earth Limos (they are "Green" & run on Bio Fuel) for a casual, fun rehearsal dinner by the pool. Their two adorable pugs didn't want to miss out on ALL the weekend fun.

Lots of fun, personal touches today and a night of love, fun and celebration.

Congratulations Elizabeth & Andy! it's been such a pleasure and honor being a part of your lives. Mazal Tov & "to 120" (years)" as we like to say.

You two have DEFINITELY hit THE JACKPOT!!

Love,
T.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! "Viva La Vida", "Viva Las Vegas"!

View of Lounge & Restaurant, Dos Caminos Mexican Kitchen, Palazzo, Las Vegas

HAPPY CINCO de MAYO!!!

Nevada is home to a very large Mexican and Spanish population and if there is one place that knows how to celebrate it's Las Vegas! Put those two things together and you have the makings of one MAJOR HOLIDAY FIESTA my friends!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge would like to wish all my friends who are celebrating their Mexican heritage today (and those who just love the holiday), a very Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

Being a Jewish kid from the north east (Toronto), Mexican, Tex Mex and the like, were never really done all that well as I was growing up. For the record, it's MUCH better and easier to find great Mexican food in Toronto now. Anyway, when I moved to Las Vegas and married a Texan, I "discovered" good Mexican food. And although I still can't get my lips around the whole refried beans and guacamole thing...I am warming to some great Mexican cuisine available in Las Vegas beyond the standard taco shops.

Two favorite Mexican Restaurants that Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge loves and who are celebrating Cinco di Mayo in Style today are Dos Caminos Mexican Kitchen at Venetian/Palazzo, Las Vegas on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip and La Madonna Restaurant, located in the southwest of the valley & serving Mexican avante-garde Cuisine.

The ambience, the food, interesting menu and service at both of these restaurants are absolutely the best and I always have a fabulous time and a great, memorable meal whenever I go to either one. Both places have their own unique vibe and make for a great night out whether you are celebrating a special occasion, a holiday or just to enjoy some great high quality Mexican cuisine and cocktails.

Check them out if you have the chance. Love the Queso Fundido and the White & Chocolate Fondue at Dos Caminos The Tortilla Soup, Queso Flamiado, Steak Alambre and that amazing Street Style Corn at La Madonna have attained "comfort food" status. Don't forget the drinks. Both venues have amazing bars with huge tequila lists for a wide variety of concoctions that will have you saying "Ole" faster than you know.

Enjoy and if you are visiting Las Vegas and looking for somewhere to celebrate Cinco Di Mayo, here a few other resources for you to check out what's happening in town today.

Wedding Pledge-Wedding Concierge Honors Jacqueline Montoya, Wynn Las Vegas Weddings

Jacqueline Montoya
Executive Director of Weddings @ Wynn, Las Vegas

I am delighted to be participating today in an industry wide initiative,2009 "Wedding Pledge" sponsored by BrideTide.com to honor those in the wedding industry who inspire us and are exemplary in their positive influence in the wedding industry around the country.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is proud to honor someone in the local Las Vegas wedding industry who first impressed and inspired me more than 7 years ago and,  continues to inspire me to this day.

She is an example of class, style & professionalism & because of her influence, continually helps in raising the bar in making Las Vegas a luxury wedding destination.

She is a credit to her employer, the Las Vegas Wedding Industry and I will always be happily indebted to her for NOT HIRING ME all those years ago!

That person is Jacqueline Montoya, Executive Director of Weddings at Wynn, Las Vegas Resort.

In 2001 I was fortunate to meet Ms. Montoya in the most unfortunate of circumstances for a pre-scheduled job interview at Bellagio Wedding Chapels where she was their Director on...September 13, 2001. I knew 2 days before, nothing would be the same here in Las Vegas for some time but was impressed right away that she actually kept the appointment.

Fast forward another 18 months to early 2003 and I met Jacqueline again at Bellagio for a job interview after completing my June Wedding Inc. Certified Wedding Consulting Course.  I was at the cross roads and apparently, during our interview, Jacqueline saw the road I was destined to travel & did not hire me to be a wedding coordinator for the Bellagio Wedding Chapels.

Again, a few years later I was delighted to find that she was now the Executive Director of Weddings for the new Wynn, Las Vegas Resort. I was privileged she had invited me to an exclusive VIP "FAM" event in April 2005 for Wedding Planners from around the country (which some of my planner colleagues who were there still talk about to this day!).

From that day on, I have had the distinct pleasure to collaborate with Jacqueline & her wonderful Wedding Consultants and assistants on some highly successful weddings, promote one another, share helpful information & enjoy each others successes.

Jacqueline had a vision for how Weddings at Wynn Las Vegas, from the elegant Wedding Salons to the ballrooms, photo, video, catering and more, should set the standard for the most luxurious experiences a couple could have in planning and celebrating their wedding in Las Vegas. From the quality of the flowers and decor to the wedding amenities and most of all, the luxury of the personal attention and customization and detail that each and every member of the Wedding department provides and every bride & couple wants & deserves; Jacqueline's vision continues to make weddings at both Wynn, Las Vegas & Encore, Las Vegas the example of which so many other properties try to emulate.

She is a smart, savvy and stylish business woman and someone who inspires me (among others I'm sure) to continually do what I do with polish, poise and passion as well as warmth and compassion. Directly or indirectly, Jacquie has been an exemplary teacher for me over the years and a very positive force in my career; giving me an additional boost of confidence and encouragement to go out on my own in the first place and eventually establish my company, Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge.

So THANK YOU Jacqueline! You truly are a first class example of..."Las Vegas Wedding STYLE!!!".

With Admiration & Affection,
Tracey

Wedding Concierge Article (by Tracey) Featured on Style Me Pretty!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is over-the-moon excited to tell you that a feature story I wrote about Las Vegas Wedding Style, titled "Your Vegas Wedding Style is Showing" (a little play on a past Las Vegas marketing campaign) is featured on the Little Black Book Blog of Style Me Pretty.com. Style Me Pretty is considered one of the top wedding blogs on the internet as a go-to source for "Style Obsessed Brides" as their tag-line states.

The article I wrote also features two of my favorite, fabulous, female Las Vegas photographic artists; Chelsea Nicole and Ashley Bartoletti.

I wrote the article as an interview asking 5 questions about what sets Las Vegas apart with the "Style" of weddings we do here, what we love about shooting/planning weddings off and on the strip and it includes some of the fabulous work of Ashley & Chelsea so you can get an idea of all the variety of venues, ambience and styles that we have available in this great city.

From beautiful mountains and lake views to the energy of the strip; the article is made up of the answers to these questions from both Ashley and Chelsea and from my perspective as a wedding planner.

Sincere thanks to Style Me Pretty and to Eddye!! I am so proud and honored that you have been so generous to publish my article (I hope you will see more of me in print in the future).

I hope that you enjoy the article and the beautiful images. It's being blogged in 2 or 3 parts I believe.

Please do let us know what you think by not only commenting on the article at Style Me Pretty, but I know that Chelsea and Ashley will be thrilled to hear your comments on their blogs. I most certainly would appreciate your feedback here as well:).

Enjoy!

Las Vegas Wedding Concierge Featured Again as Las Vegas Wedding Expert in Luxury "Your Wedding Day Magazine"

Your Wedding Day Magazine, Spring 2009 Issue

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so delighted  to tell you that I am quoted as the featured Las Vegas Wedding Expert in a fabulous "Destinations" article in one of my absolute favorite luxury wedding magazines, "Your Wedding Day"!

The Spring 2009 issue has truly outdone itself and proves that you can improve on perfection. Kudos!

Our fabulous city was given the right and proper credit due as a "luxury wedding destination" in their "Destination" segment right along with Oahu, Hawaii, Riviera Maya for starters

"Take in a fabulous show", as I am credited as saying, at Beatle's LOVE at The Mirage, have a swank, sexy and cosmopolitan wedding at the chic Red Rock Resort on the west side of town and shop in Style at Wynn Las Vegas are among some of the hot picks the article says to experience.

This stunning publication, based in Santa Barbara, California, is a true style setter showcasing the most fashion forward and cutting edge designs in gowns, decor and more by the country's most sought after wedding professionals and venues. The photography and creative design just makes you want to linger a little longer on each and every page.

I am honored to count myself among their carefully selected roster of "YWD Preferred Resources" of wedding and event professionals in California, in Las Vegas and across the country.

Thanks to Harmony Walton (also owner of the Bridal Bar)   for including me in this great article and showing off the sexy, savvy, "shiny" (like that one) and stylish Las Vegas that I love to brides looking for an amazing and memorable wedding weekend.

Speaking of weekends, hope yours is a Stylish one too!

Happy Valentines Day-Get the Message?!

Photo originally uploaded on Flickr by "Acordova"
This is based on Current Marketing Campaign for Dentyne Gum

Happy Valentine's Day...

From Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge in fabulous Las Vegas Nevada. LOVE is definitely in the air today in "The Wedding Capital of the World"!

I hope that all of you, my very dear "diary" readers who have shown me and my blog such love and support by coming to visit, commenting, etc plus all of my friends and new colleagues in the wedding and events industry, have a wonderful and happy "hearts day" today!

And, as much as I REALLY LOVE all the amazing Social Media and connections I've made online lately, I'm going to take a cue from the message from the latest Dentyne Gum marketing campaign which I think is so smart & clever.

I'm going to "Power Down, Pucker Up and Make Some Face Time" with the love of my life, my real-time, real-life Valentine, Mr. Moore:)! I encourage you to share "the Original Instant Message", a kiss or ?, with the real life, off-line Valentine(s) in your life. Don't forget to give your Mom, your dad, brother, sister and friends some "Face Time" if you are lucky enough to have them close by.

And Brides and Grooms: Whatever stage of planning you are in, but especially those of you now immersed in the online wedding universe of website, blogs, chat rooms, Face books, and twittering; put the mouse down, turn the computer off and celebrate love for love's sake with your guy for the day. Actually try and make a point of having a "Valentine's Day" break regularly during the planning. It's good for you:)

If you are on or Near the Strip in Vegas this weekend here are a few Vegas Valentine's "Face Time" ideas....
  • Enjoy a Romantic Gondola Ride at The Venetian Resort
  • "All You Really Need is LOVE" at the "BeatlesLove" show by "Cirque de Soleil" at Mirage.
  • Head over to the Bellagio Resort to indulge in many heart's delights from the beautiful Conservatory to sharing a divine dessert crepe or hand made chocolate at Jean-Phillipe Pattiserie. Marvel at the chocolate fountain. Then, stop by the Fontana Bar, enjoy some great music and get a first class seat to view the romantic Bellagio Fountains (still one of my most favorite things to see in Las Vegas).
  • A very sexy, intimate and seductive evening of dining and entertainment at Cat House in the LUXOR
  • Serious "Face Time" gets underway at sexy, sultry nightclubs like TAO, TRYST, XS, PURE Tabu LAX and Noir Bar
  • Stay in Order Room Service (don't forget the bubbly & chocolate dipped strawberries), and catch some romantic comedies on TV.
Wishing you all LOTS OF LOVE AND LUCK this February 14th.

Encore, Encore! Wynn Las Vegas Opens Luxurious New Resort Tonight!

To paraphrase their teaser website, "What do you do when you have already built one of the world's most luxurious, exciting and award winning resorts?"

Well, you build an even more gorgeous and luxurious resort right beside it on the Las Vegas Strip and call it....

"ENCORE"

Congratulations to Wynn, Las Vegas on the opening of Encore Las Vegas

The entire website showcasing all of the resort's amenities will be revealed with the opening of the resort tonight at 8:00 PM.

The resort features stunning decor that brings the outside in with large windows in the casino , even more luxurious suites (starting at 700 square feet), incredible new restaurants including "Sinatra", which is fine Italian dining and a labor of love between Steve Wynn and the Sinatra family. It features portraits, memorabilia and a personal soundtrack of music by "The Chairman of the Board".

Other restaurants include a steakhouse called "Botero Steakhouse" which will certainly be a most voluptuous dining experience set amongst the incredible work of artist Fernando Botero and another establishment called "Switch" that changes it's environment every 20 minutes for a true dining "experience".

The real "show" at "Encore" is their "XS Nightclub" (a play on the word "excess", I'm sure). It most certainly will exceed in off-the-hook luxuriousness for this club that is inspired by the style and ambience of St. Tropez. Of course, Wynn will do it in their own way and the party will start in the afternoon and flow into the wee hours of the morning. The club opens on New Years Eve.

Impressionist Danny Gans, who Steve Wynn introduced to the Mirage and made a Vegas star, is back with a whole new exciting show that will premiere in February, 2009.

From a personal perspective, my own experiences, and that of my family, when staying at a "Wynn" resort in the past was that we always felt "taken care of" and were truly treated as welcomed guests. On a professional level, as a wedding consultant, that "taken care of" experience at Wynn, Las Vegas is embodied in the professionalism and care extended to me and my clients by the wonderful staff at the resort. It is one of my favorite places to work in Las Vegas.

I am so excited to visit "Encore" this weekend and see all the gorgeous new venues in the Wynn Collection that will be perfect for celebrating your wedding in Las Vegas. From welcome parties to brunches, bachelorette and bachelor parties, spa and bridal beauty and stunning new ceremony and reception locations, "Encore" is going to, yet again, raise the bar on what it means to have a wedding or Destination Wedding celebration with Las Vegas "style"!

Check out some great images and video of the resort on the "Vegas Deluxe" blog of Robin Leach (yes, the "Champagne Wishes & Caviar Dreams" man himself).

Bravo, "Encore", welcome to the neighborhood and I would like to wish all of my friends at Wynn Weddings, Wynn Catering and Restaurant Events "congratulations".  I am so excited for you and wish you all great success. I look forward to many fabulous and memorable weddings and events with you.
