Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so excited to be a part of my first "Engage" wedding business summit for the Luxury wedding market.

This, the 4th version of the conference is called "Engage '09 Encore" and what fabulous Las Vegas resort could be more fitting to host this event than the Wynn, Encore Resort Las Vegas?

I am so happy that the creators of "Engage" Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts, based in Florida, have brought this event to Las Vegas. It shows that this fabulous city that I love so much and now call home is definitely on the radar when it comes to celebrating weddings in style as only Las Vegas can! Thank you Rebecca & Kathryn!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is over-the-moon excited to tell you that a feature story I wrote about Las Vegas Wedding Style, titled "Your Vegas Wedding Style is Showing" (a little play on a past Las Vegas marketing campaign) is featured on the Little Black Book Blog of Style Me Pretty.com. Style Me Pretty is considered one of the top wedding blogs on the internet as a go-to source for "Style Obsessed Brides" as their tag-line states.

The article I wrote also features two of my favorite, fabulous, female Las Vegas photographic artists; Chelsea Nicole and Ashley Bartoletti. 

I wrote the article as an interview asking 5 questions about what sets Las Vegas apart with the "Style" of weddings we do here, what we love about shooting/planning weddings off and on the strip and it includes some of the fabulous work of Ashley & Chelsea so you can get an idea of all the variety of venues, ambience and styles that we have available in this great city. 

From beautiful mountains and lake views to the energy of the strip; the article is made up of the answers to these questions from both Ashley and Chelsea and from my perspective as a wedding planner.

Exciting News Part 2-Wedding Concierge Featured Article in The Bride & Bloom Magazine!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is a huge fan of The Bride & Bloom Magazine since I first got my hands on a copy a few years ago. It was love at first sight and I was sending in the subscription with one hand before I got to the end of flipping through it with the other!

From the color trend showcases to the photo editorials of amazing wedding creations from cake to floral and decor, it is no wonder the magazine has attracted the most stylish, innovative, inspiring, knowledgeable trend-setters and celebrity planners/designers like Mindy Weiss and Preston Bailey (to name a few)!

The 2009 Spring/Summer issue (the cover is seen above) is on the news stands now in finer book stores everywhere (including Canada).

In addition to gorgeous features on the high-style wedding gown fashions, floral bouquets and invitations in this issue, you will notice my favorite headline; "Special Las Vegas Section..."!

This is the "Exciting News, Part 2": I am thrilled and honored to tell you that the special editorial story on "Planning Your Destination Las Vegas Wedding with Style" was written by me.  I can't wait for you to go out and get the magazine and read the article which is my first feature (and won't be the last if I can help it) as a contributing writer and destination Las Vegas/wedding expert. 

I have been fortunate to be quoted several occasions in the media, But, in writing this myself, I truly was able to give my own voice to what I love about this city and what makes planning weddings here so interesting and amazing.

Exciting News Part 1-Wedding Concierge Quoted in "Destination Weddings 2009 Annual Worldwide Guide"

The "Guide" is available now on the news stands!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge told you I had exciting news coming up and this is part 1. 

I am honored to be featured in an article in the 2009 "Annual Worldwide Guide" of Destination Weddings & Honeymoon Magazine. 

The article, titled "Destination Weddings Made Easy" features "tricks of the trade" quotes from wedding experts who plan events around the globe with general travel/planning advice and specific regional tips for destination weddings in every part of the world from USA & Canada, Hawaii, Caribbean, Mexico & Central America to Europe, Asia & the African continent. 

This is a fantastic article to bookmark for anyone considering a destination wedding, whether your destination is 100 miles or 3000+ miles from home.

There are real wedding features from Orlando to Indonesia, an article on 30+ top wedding destinations, travel, fashion, beauty tips and more.

I believe destination weddings are still going to be popular with couples in 2009 and 2010, despite the less than sunny economic forecast. Guests will travel but may stay closer to home, guest lists will be smaller and couples will look to cost saving measures such as off-peak days and hours for events according to the Wedding Report. 

The great thing about Las Vegas weddings are you can come here and marry in several parts of the world without even leaving the USA! Our city is always open for you to get married! You can have 200 of your closest friends on a Saturday night in June at 6:00 PM in a grand ballroom or at 2:00 in the afternoon for a helicopter wedding ceremony or 9:00 PM at night where you can celebrate by hitting the clubs afterwards. Our fine dining restaurants offer some of the most innovating dining in the country and many of these venues have private dining facilities for more intimate events. 

With some good and innovative thinking & planning and a little local professional help (be it Venice, Las Vegas or Venice, Italy) you CAN have a wonderful, memorable Destination Wedding within your means.

Grace Notes on Gorgeous 2009 "Wedding Style"!

What a way to begin the year than by receiving my copies of "Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine" Spring/Summer 2009 issue. 

As always, the magazine's jaw dropping, inspiring tabletop editorial is absolutely incredible (with a fantastic yellow inspired tabletop by wedding designer Ed Libby). I love it! 

Planner & designer extraordinaire, Colin Cowie has a dazzlingly beautiful showcased wedding and some details on his new "Wedding Chic" book as well. 

There is a to-die-for Phalaenopsis orchid bouquet (large white blooms with yellow stamens) presented in a plexi-glass tube with Swarovski crystals and the cake editorial is one of my favorite this issue. I am just gaga these days for these truly artistic creations featuring an Asian themed cake with a crane and an elegant pirate inspired piece from "Cake Opera" in Thornhill, ON Canada! Cake opera is known for designing sugar masterpieces of Marie Antoinette replicas. They are just incredible and I'm not saying so because they are based near my hometown of Toronto (but maybe just a little).

And what makes the issue even sweeter is Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge has been named to the Grace Ormonde 5 Star Platinum List for the second year in a row. I'm honored to be among this elite list of the country's most imaginative trendsetters and finest wedding professionals.

What a wonderful way to start 2009 and I'm just getting started! I have some more incredibly exciting news to share with all of you in a few short days so stay tuned!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so excited because I am featured today on the Meet the Planners Series of one of my favorite blogs, The Smart Planner.com. 

The Smart Planner Blog, is written by my friend and wedding planner colleague Liene Stevens, in Scottsdale, AZ; owner of Blue Orchid Designs and the fabulous Blue Orchid Blog. 

I had the pleasure of meeting Liene in Scottsdale this past September and we had a great time talking about weddings, our businesses, etc. It was wonderful to meet the very smart, savvy, creative and passionate young lady behind these successful blogs.

The Smart Planner is one of my daily MUST READ blogs and a great resource guide for wedding & event planners to help us grow professionally, creatively and run a successful business.

Well this is pretty exciting!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge has been invited to the fabulous new EAD Library; a great listing of the top wedding resources as part of the Elizabeth Ann Designs Blog-which is a very beautiful wedding site with so many fantastic ideas and wedding inspirations. 

I am delighted to say I am the first and only Las Vegas Wedding and Event Planner listed on the site with some pretty impressive company so I feel very honored that they love my "diary" (blog), my website and my work. 

Update 8.14.08-Well, I may be the first but now not the only planner as my friend  and colleague Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events is now listed as well and congratulations to you Juliet! I couldn't think of a better person to share the honor:)

The Wedding Concierge is Headed to Philadelphia-Closed Aug 1-10

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so excited to finally be headed off to "Experience 2008" Conference for the "National Association of Catering Executives (NACE)" being held in Philadelphia, PA this year!!

I am officially "closed" tomorrow, August 1st and will be returning, all reved up and ready to go again on August 11th!

I will be part of a great delegation from Las Vegas made up of my fellow Las Vegas NACE members and friends. I also can't wait to see many of my friends and fellow wedding planners and NACE members from the east coast!

This year NACE is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary as a professional association and Philadelphia takes us back to the very beginning and very first chapter but the focus of this conference is totally looking to THE FUTURE!

I'll be learning all about new trends in the wedding and event and catering industry from the very best in the business including celebrity wedding and party planner Mindy Weiss, getting new insight on how to have stylish yet sustainable and "green" events and just how to do things better and plan fabulous and memorable events working with all these great professionals who make it happen for YOU!

I hope to take lots of pictures and have a lot to talk about when I get back.
