Looking for Stylish Wedding Shoes? Try and TRUMP these!

All images from Ivanka Trump.com

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is all about shoes!

A girl can NEVER have TOO MANY shoes and that's just a fact of life as far as I'm concerned.

And what is that ultimate "Cinderella" pair themselves? . . . your wedding shoes of course!

They certainly don't have to be glass slippers, but your wedding shoes definitely must be stylish, compliment your wedding gown and be comfortable to dance the night away in. Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge will have none of this "flip flop" sandal business please and thank you. A great alternative though is a pretty pair of ballet flats!

I am so impressed with the new shoe collection from Ivanka Trump, who has now created sexy, stylish and affordable footware that take you from the office to a weekend getaway, the "Red Carpet" to the ultimate runway . . . your wedding aisle!

The "White" collection appeals to the classic bridal look but is hardly traditional with sexy styles like "Aluvia, Asteria, the lace inspired "Diamund" and the satin wrap "Dermani". However, for all you daring brides who want to show off, don't be afraid to rock one of these styles in a hue that gives a whole new meaning to "Something Blue".

Whatever style you choose, do purchase your shoes early enough to have them with you for your final gown fittings, to give you enough time to break them in and practice wearing them so you feel completely beautiful and assured when you slip them on on your wedding day to walk towards your groom.

I do believe I have another item to add to the holiday wish list;)!!

Featured Wedding-Andy & Elizabeth | Four Seasons 5.17.09

All Images by Altf.com Photography

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge had the great pleasure of planning & directing the absolutely beautiful (if I do say so myself) wedding of Andy & Elizabeth at the always elegant Four Seasons Resort, Las Vegas this past May 17th.

It has been one of my absolute favorite weddings this year for so many reasons beginning of course with a couple who I have come to know & love over the past 15 months.

The wedding locations took some twists and turns from when we first started out but, I'm a firm believer in "beshert" (Hebrew for "destined to be") & the celebration could not have been more perfect than in the gorgeous Fountain Terrace of the Four Seasons thanks to the fantastic Asst. Director of Catering, Dennis Silknitter

Andy & Elizabeth incorporated not only the beautiful green color but also as many "Green" elements they could into their wedding. From cutting down on paper & having an elegant seating chart/menu combination to bio-fueled luxury transportation for guests and environmentally, socially responsible wedding bands, the affair reflected this couples wish to celebrate in style & with respect for the environment.

It was a wonderful evening and truly a celebration of love, family & friends enjoying a beautiful environment, a fabulous Las Vegas night, delectable food & drink (Donut Bar & Eskimo Pies included) & live entertainment all night long. It wasn't just a wedding, it was a PARTY!!

Thank you to the unbelievable, talented team of Wedding Professionals who made this event such a success. It's a pleasure & honor to work alongside you. You make me look GREAT & you all ROCK!

Weddings like this & couples like Elizabeth & Andy are why I truly love my job!
  • Tifany of Gourmet Invitations for the amazing custom "linen inspired" invitations & reception pieces.
  • Randi of Naakiti Floral & Sit on This Chair for the gorgeous florals, decor, linens & chairs who is just a joy to work with & always goes above & beyond my expectations.
  • The uber-talented John Michael & Dalisa Cooper of Alt F Photography. It took 6 years to work with you FINALLY, & it was worth the wait:)-I'm going to make sure it won't take that long again.
  • Lori White who is one of my absolute favorite hair & makeup stylists to work with.
  • SWANK A/V for those super cool light balloons.
  • The Steve Beyer Band for keeping us rockin' all night long.
  • Vegas Photo Booths for all the photo fun. What WAS going on inside that cabana?;)!!
  • Pat Harris & the awesome Sight N' Sound Events Video Team
  • Nicole from Earth Limos for the Eco-Luxury Rehearsal Dinner Transportation
And Thank YOU Andy & Elizabeth for allowing me to be a part of your lives this past year & help you bring your vision of your wedding to life. It was truly an honor & pleasure! Mazal Tov you two & may you have a long life (120 years or so) full of good fortune, good health, lots of laughs and of course, much love all ways and for always! X0

Happy Birthday Barbie-50 Fabulous & Still a Gorgeous Bride!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARBIE: BORN MARCH 9, 1959

50 & FABULOUS!!!
"Romantacist" Barbie in Vera Wang, 2008
Elvis & Pricilla Bridal Barbie Set | 2008
(Probably the most famous Wedding Vegas Couple Ever!!)

Monique Lhuillier Bride Barbie Doll | 2006

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge wishes Barbara Millicent Roberts, aka "Barbie" a very happy 50th birthday.

Barbie is looking absolutely fabulous as she celebrates her 50th birthday today March 9, 2009.

In honor of the big day, a brand new "Barbie" doll will be unveiled today in what is the culmination of many celebrations, fashion shows (with living dolls), and new fashion lines and collectible dolls in honor of the birthday girl leading up to March 9.

Barbie is an American icon; a career girl, a cultural attache, a reincarnation of screen legends and a clothing designers ULTIMATE model with those very envious (unattainable) measurements.

Barbie as Bride is showcased on Brides.com  in a retrospective gallery in their feature "Here Comes the Barbie" (where all images in this post were sourced). As with the everyday fashion trends she modeled and influenced through the decades, Barbie was, is and continues to be a reflection of bridal fashion trends and gown styles as famous designers from Badgley Mischka to Reem Acra to Vera Wang have sought to dress her in their most iconic styles.

Enjoy the gallery and if you are a real & true "Barbie Girl", do make sure to visit her special Barbie 50th Anniversary website where you can read all about the anniversary happenings, history, videos, new collectibles, fashions, a blog and see the new doll.

Bridal Fashion Goes Glamorous & Green from the Inside & Out

The "Double Dare" Gown by Hanna Hartnell

Santa Monica, California based gown designer Hanna Hartnell, whose beautiful and Hollywood glamorous gowns have been worn by celebrities from Barbara Streisand to Gwyneth Paltrow, has designed a real triple threat gown that Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge thinks is a fantastic idea.

I received an email today from Hanna about this sexy  "Double Dare" gown she has designed that is both pocketbook and green friendly. This wedding gown style has a lot going for it on the INSIDE!

The "Double Dare" gown collection is very attractively priced for a bridal gown at $1,200-$1,800, but with a completely different color fabric, all you truly savvy and stylish soon to be newlywed readers of mine can get double use by turning it out and stepping out to another occasion in a whole new dress!

"Here’s how it works – by simplifying the sensuous elegance inherent to her gowns, she found that the sophisticated construction allowed her to line the gowns in the same silk as the gown itself – but with a different divine color the dress becomes REVERSIBLE! Available in three different designs, a well placed side slit gives a peek at the gown’s secret life to be lived at some future date… a guest at another’s wedding, a dressy night on the honeymoon or a slow dance on their anniversary. A glorious flower pin made of both colors pulls everything together perfectly on each side.

As an avowed “greenie”, Hanna wanted the gowns to have a double impact – and what could be more Green and Financially sustainable than a reusable, recycled and reduced wedding gown – if you want to cut your gown to dinner length, they'll be happy to do it for you at Hartnell. A double treat for your checkbook, the planet and you!" *From Hanna Hartnell PR Email.*

Love it!

I have always encouraged my brides to consider double duty gowns that are definitely "bridal" but can perhaps carry them through to the honeymoon and beyond; especially with the anything goes nature and sexy sophistication of Las Vegas. These sleek, glamorous gowns (as with all of Hanna's designs), remind me of the way women dressed to go out on the town here with their handsome debonairly dressed gentlemen grooms. I would love to to see that trend return. Nothing looks sexier and more stylish than a happy, lucky-in-love, good looking and well turned out couple; not just in Las Vegas, but anywhere!

I Love LUCITE!

Lucite Love
Click the link to see where I found these items online!

"Lucite", a transparent acrylic resin, was created by DuPont in the early 30's and became really popular for use in everything from furniture to jewelry. It was considered very "space age" and in the 50's atomic era, it was seen in many trendy homes for it's smart style and ease of care. Of course, everything old finds it's way back to being new again and lucite has again become a fashion forward material in the fashion, design and interior decorating world.

What I love about Lucite is that it still retains that "vintage" look and today, you can see lucite bringing that retro, vintage look into modern decor and fashion and I believe it's here to stay. Now it's not just clear anymore. Many fashion & decor designers are coming out with colored lucite and acrylic and pairing them with crystals & interesting metals and fabrics.

Whether it's a lamp, a necklace, a bag, an invitation or a stunning table, it's a sexy modern, stylish, "COOL" look that fits very well with the vintage Vegas vibe that we all love here; reminding us of the golden age of Vegas in the 50's & 60's.

Consider adding a bit of lucite to your reception decor in the way of end tables for a lounge environment where you could really have fun adding colored LED lighting or florals inside. Or another "lucite look" could be in the way of beautiful "Ghost Chairs" by Kartell that are so elegant. They look great at dining tables with a fabulous high-drama accent pillow to compliment the color motif of your event.

Go ahead and use some LUCITE and you will "clearly" be in Style!

Some of the items pictured above are...
Lucite Engraved Invitation by Gourmet Invitations, MI is a hot new product in her custom line of products.
Kartell "Bourgie" Lamp
Clear Acrylic Tabletop & Base with Light Cube & "Victoria Ghost Chairs by Fete Accompli Events

The Little White (Wedding) Dress: Lift up your hems & Kick up Your Heels!

Little White Wedding Dress

One of the hottest spring 2009 bridal fashion trends is focused on short wedding gowns; knee length, tea length and cocktail length.

Gown designer Amsale is even doing major advertising campaign with the "Little White Dress".

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge LOVES this fashion trend!

The styles, just like their longer cousins, are running the range from sweet to sexy, demure to downright DANCE DIVA!

Many of my brides are enjoying the trend of shedding the traditional gown at some point in the reception (usually just before the dancing kicks into high gear) so they can really kick up their heels and get down and celebrate all night long.

I love that these "little white dresses" can be the late night party dress, the afternoon wedding dress or both.

These short gowns to me say "fun", "flirty", "sexy", "stylish" and of course....VEGAS!

Easy to pack, easy to wear, they look fabulous and I can't think of a better style for a fabulous Las Vegas wedding!

It's the perfect excuse to get a fabulous tan on your gams, a delicious pedicure & of course one fantastic pair of shoes! Oh the possibilities!

So 2009 brides, lift up your hems, kick up your heels and go down the aisle in style in your own "little white dress"!

Fabulous Find-One Bridesmaid Dress Can Equal 12 Happy Bridesmaids

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge LOVES this fabulous, clever and stylish solution that can make every bride and bridesmaid happy!

Twobirds Bridesmaid is a company started by a very clever lady named Ariane Goldman who came up with the concept and design for her own wedding..

One dress, 10 different colors (and more surely to be on the way) and up to a dozen different ways of wrapping the dress to create completely different looks; halter, strapless, sleeved,  a variety of different ways to style the back.

This is, in one word...BRILLIANT!

The dresses, made out of that fabulous combination of jersey and Spandex that travels and wears so well on everyone (including pregnant bridesmaids) is the perfect solution for a destination wedding. The dress comes in long, extra long and shorter lengths and also now a plus size and the best thing is, the dress comes in under $300.00.

When you consider how many different ways you can wear it after the wedding (yes, we have all heard that before, but this time you really would want to), that is an incredibly affordable dress!

And to coordinate even further, the company offers matching colored ties for the groomsmen!

Have a Stylish Day!
